The main focus of his consulting work is on actuarial modelling, risk management and Solvency II in all lines of business. Based on his scientific education, he also works on the practical application of modern statistical techniques and data science methods (including machine learning and artificial intelligence) in an insurance context.
He has a broad project experience from consulting projects with insurance companies and other financial services providers in Germany, but also in Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.
Andreas Reuss is a member of the German Association of Actuaries (DAV) and Certified Enterprise Actuary (CERA).
The focus of his consulting work is on the development of innovative life insurance products, in particular with new forms of guarantees, as well as traded life insurance policies.
He is also professor for actuarial science at Ulm University and lectures at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and at the European Business School. Jochen serves as an associate editor of the Asia Pacific Journal of Risk and Insurance. He is a member of the advisory board of the Bundesverband Vermögensanlagen im Zweitmarkt Lebensversicherungen and of the Munich Risk and Insurance Center. He is a member of the German Society for Insurance and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM), the American Risk and Insurance Association and the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association.
He has published more than 100 research papers and book chapters and has received ten research awards in Australia (1997 and 2000), Singapore (1998) and Germany (1999, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2009, 2016 and 2018).
The main focus of his consulting activities is on the development of innovative life insurance products and to support foreign life insurance companies with their market entries and business development in Germany.
He is a member of the German Association of Actuaries (DAV).
Hans-Joachim Zwiesler is professor at Ulm university focussing with his research studies and lectures on actuarial science and finance within the study course Mathematics and Management. Beyond that he was professor in Syracuse University, NY, and San Diego State University, CA.
From 2005 to 2019, he was a member of the board of the German Society for Insurance and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM).
